December

We are on vacation this week. Regardless, I wake up very early every single day. Today I managed to sleep until 5, but on Monday my eyes popped out at 4:30, so obviously I'm tired all day. Plus, we bought a scale (for years I was a happy person because I didn't have to worry about my weight) and now I know that I need to lose 5 kilos. So that's how the Christmas season started. And I note that it didn't snow either.

However, I reformed (partially, not yet perfectly) the kitchen and our eating habits. Because not only I have extra kilos, but also my husband. We are stocking up for the winter

Now the things I neglected have finally returned, such as sweet potatoes, zucchini, eggplant and other delicacies. There is no junk food (except at the Christmas market, because there is a very delicious vegan hamburger available, but I also ask for it with sweet potatoes and avocado sauce), but in December, cake is very important, I don't give up on that. Let's say I prefer to make it with spelled flour, and Adri bakes Szafi bread or styrofoam instead of store-bought bread.

And we're about to go for a walk in the forest, because I haven't taken it upon myself to run yet.

In the meantime, it got dark, we got lost and I started to panic that we would have to ask the deer for alms if we got stuck there. But luckily we found the right way, we are finally home, the cold has bitten our faces and I am about to bake a cookie with Christmas spices (strictly from good ingredients). I won't skimp on the cinnamon, cloves, and orange. Mhhh.

Of course, the Christmas atmosphere is here as well, there is no need to be afraid, only one or two things are thrown out sometimes, but I have a method to bring back the calm. Music is very important to him. We decorate, we consciously create a relaxed atmosphere, we watch holiday movies and we frolic together, so this December thing is good. It's just not snowing...

My Mimóka sometimes shakes her head as if I'm torturing her, although there are few cats who are so pampered...

This week I even did something unusual for me! I printed a few of my own photos and displayed them at home, nicely framed. I'm totally confused, what selfishness!

Of course, reading cannot be left out either. yesterday I finished a 900-page book that wasn't about Christmas yet, and today I started one that isn't Christmas either, but it's already snowing and it's freaking good (Erich Kästner: Three people in the snow)! A comedy with a real peaceful atmosphere. After that, the Christmas books will come... Fortunately, my desire to read has returned, I think because of the winter. I love curling up on the couch with a cup of tea and reading.

Now I'll say goodbye, because the kitchen is waiting for me to throw together a cookie!

I wish everyone a peaceful period, patience for the holiday madness (after all, there is no Christmas without it)!
